Bow, Side, Combo & Multi Lights

White Light - staight ahead direction. Side Lights - Port RED (left side traveling/looking forward). Starboard Green (right side traveling/looking forward). Bow - Foward front part of a boat. Masthead light - A white light shinning forward through an arc of 225° indicating a vessel is under mechanical propulsion. Bi-Colored Lights -In a vessel of less than 20 meters in length the sidelights may be combined in one lantern carried on the fore and aft centerline of the vessel, except that on a vessel of less than 12 meters in length the sidelights when combined in one lantern shall be placed as nearly as practicable to the fore and aft centerline of the vessel.

Air boats when using side lights, we recommend the vertical position. They are easier to install on seat stands. The sidelights of a power-driven vessel shall be placed at a height above the hull not greater than three quarters of that of the forward masthead light. They shall not be so low as to be interfered with by deck lights. Learn more about navigational lights at the USCG website
