PFD's & Flotation

FLORIDA BOATING REGULATIONS found in Ch 327 and Ch 328: All vessels are required to have onboard a wearable USCG approved personal flotation device (PFD) for each person. The PFD's must be the appropriate size for the intended wearer, be in serviceable condition, and within easy access. Vessels 16 feet in length or longer must also have at least one throwable Type IV PFD that is immediatly available in case of a fall out. All children under the age of six (6) must wear a USCG-approved Type I, II, or III PFD while the vessel is underway not docked or anchored.
