Anchor & Dock
AIRBOATERS: The most popular anchor for air boats is the "slip-ring" generally #5 and #7 size. Most air boat common anchorage hookups, snaps and anchor line will be in the 3/8" areas and on shackles 5/16".
BRAIDED VS TWISTED: Twisted rope has way more strength per load than braided. Whereas, Braided will not tend to unravel. NYLON VS POLYPROPYLENE (Poly): Nylon is the strongest of all ropes in common. Some boaters prefer it for anchorage and when heavy securing is required, but it does get dirty easier after time. Poly floats, stays clean longer, doesn't stick to mud like Nylon, and makes great docking and retrieving line. ALL PURPOSE ROPE: This is the smaller sized rope, easy for making knot ties, using around your boat, camping, etc.
